Burr... Baby its Cold outside...

I know those of you who don't live here in the Central Valley find it hard to believe that 50highs and low forties isn't very cold but I have to say Dude, its freakin cold! We are predicted to have SNOW, SNOW, this weekend. And it is mighty cold out here. I can't believe how cold it feels. It feels colder than it really is I swear. Maybe there is a wind chill and I'm just not aware of it. As Always, ~Eliza

Many Sides of One Coin...

After my regular title was taken--Life according to Me-- I decided to upgrade (if you will) my normal headline. LOL. After many many many requests to blog more regularly I am once again trying my hand at publicly writing my thoughts. I am going to make this blog not just my boring ramblings but also my creations. So with out much ado, My current projects: I have been slowly working on this beautiful creation. Its a cotton broadcloth cream colored Regency dress. Made from Mrs. Chancey's beautiful patterns. November and December

November and December have also been long months. I have had my share of worries and upsets and I just pray that the new year is better. On an up note I have decided to join the Vintage Lending Library sewers who will be trying out various 1912 patterns. I am overly excited as I can't wait to see what patterns come in the mail. It will be like Christmas every month with a new project every month. I will have to keep copious notes on what works for me and what didn't. If Blogging were as simple as Facebook...

I can't tell you how many times I said "If blogging were as simple as facebooking, I'd be set" in the last two months. I am horrible at blogging. I always find myself sewing more than writing. But I'm hoping to change that. I had an amazing opportunity a few weeks ago to go to a HUGE convention called "Costume College". I can't tell you how many fantastic people I met while there. It was all hugely overwhelming and I came back itching to create more things and, if given the opportunity to attend again, even teach a class. Which I have already thought out set up and gotten ready. SO if the powers that be grant me both of my HUGE wishes for 2016 I will die a happy woman. Anyways back to the subject at hand.
